Francesca nasce a Jesi nel 1975. Artista e fotografa, la sua ricerca artistica si concentra sull’essere umano. Espone alla Viewfinder Photo Gallery di Londra con la mostra Les Bonnes (serie ispirata all’omonima opera teatrale di Jean Genet). E’ vincitrice del premio Camera d’Oro a Lens Based Art Show di Torino con il progetto di autoritratti ME² e la performance con parrucche per sole donne. Nel 2013 debutta con Pink Project, il suo lavoro più personale, ne parlano le grandi testate italiane. Pink Project sostiene la campagna nastro rosa della LILT (Lega Italiana Lotta ai Tumori) ed è mostra itinerante per la raccolta fondi a favore della lotta al cancro al seno. Uno dei racconti contenuti nel suo primo libro, Le femmine sono numeri dispari,  9 racconti x 9 pezzi musicali x 9 fotografie scattate da lei, è ora un film dal titolo Vicini (Zen Movie).Finalista del Gran Premio Portfolio Italia 2021 con LINK, finalista Italy Foto Award 2022 e miglior portfolio alla Biennale della Fotografia Femminile di Mantova con The QuaranTEEN Project. Il suo lavoro autoriale è pubblicato nelle grandi testate italiane ed internazionali e il suo approccio fotografico incentrato sulla narrazione visiva è diventato esperienza formativa.
Dal 2023 è ideatrice e coordinatrice di Acca Fotografia, percorsi di fotografia contemporanea.

Francesca Tilio is an artist and a photographer. Her artistic research focuses on people. She was born in Jesi (Ancona, Italy) in 1975. Les Bonnes, her exhibition inspired by Jean Genet’s drama, was on display at the Viewfinder Photo Gallery in London. ME² won the Camera d’Oro Prize at Torino Lens Based Art Show. In 2013 Pink Project, her most personal work, premiered, as reported by Italian major newspapers. Pink Project supported LILT’s (Italian League Against Cancer) Nastro Rosa campaign, as a travelling exhibition to raise money for breast cancer research. One of the stories from her first book, Females are odd numbers, 9 stories x 9 tracks x 9 photographs has also become a movie, Vicini (Zen Movie). Finalist of Gran Premio Portfolio Italia 2021 with LINK, finalist Italy Foto Award 2022 and best portfolio at the Biennale della Fotografia Femminile di Mantova with The QuaranTEEN Project. Her authorial work is published in major Italian and international magazines. Her photographic approach focused on visual narration has become an educational experience.
Since 2023, she has been the creator and coordinator of Acca Fotografia, contemporary photography school.
